You couldn't make it up could you? £million's spent on up to date weather technology including satellites by the BBC. Bron and I have just returned from Meadowhall Shopping Centre visiting today because tomorrow was forecast sleet?
Well done BBC Weather. post #3,745 above shows a forecast for Wednesday giving sleet showers and moderate breeze; post 3,748 for the same day Wednesday giving light cloud and gentle breeze so what did we actually get yesterday (Wednesday) we got snow then very heavy rain; please take up knitting BBC Weather because you are useless at weather forecasting.
Yesterday morning first thing was forecast 6C so why when I was at Rufforth Auto Jumble by 6:45 was it 1C? It sure was bitterly cold even inside the big hanger in fact later in the morning when the sun appeared it warmed up but remained very cold inside the hanger; I just love BBC weather forecasts.
As arranged my chum brought over his wayward petrol mower kindly giving it to me to tinker with; he's bought a new Honda mower so now I've got something interesting to play with; it's already been fitted with a new carb; plug and air filter but it dies after five minutes running; yesterday afternoon I suspected it could be the magneto coil failing so I did some quick testing; I ran the mower until it died then quickly checked for a spark and a spark was present; I then quickly removed the air filter and poured a drop of petrol into the carb intake and the mower roughly fired up; it indicates a fuel starvation problem but there are lots of other things which can cause similar problems; it's a bit early yet to make noise on a Sunday morning but shortly I'll wander down to the workshop to explain to this mower the error of its ways? I love playing with faulty machinery.
Kind regards, Colin.
A broken toy to play with; I'll enjoy this and hope it's something really obscure to find because I don't do simple or easy.
