Hi

I want to grow Erigeron in cracks along the edge of my patio. I have seen that you can mix seeds with clay? What sort of clay would I use and would I need to mix some soil with it?

You may already have good soil in the cracks now, just covered up with concrete. Take a screwdriver and insert it where you want the plant the seed. Dig out the rocks or debris from the cracks and make room for quality top soil. Fill the area up with new soil and plant your seeds on top and water. Most of the time the plant will find good native soil below and not need fertilizer. Good luck and keep use posted.
