I just discovered the wonderous offerings in a little front yard nursery in the next township from me, about 10 minutes away. I've driven passed several times and last week called in. Well, its absolutely wonderful. A young Welsh couple have turned their front garden into a really specialised nursery. On my first visit I purchased a Fritillaria, a purple chequred one and it's one I first saw in a gardening magazene when I started gardening and couldn't find. (I've since been back and bought another one). And this other beauty,Vulgaris something. Apparently it one smells, very badly, for a couple of day a year. Zara, one half of the owners, says you can spray it with hair spray for those days but it's what attracts the bugs so I won't i won't do that. I do intend planting it a distance from the house.
