I was away for 6 days and this is the wnderful sight I came home to.

I havent seen these beautiful spikes before. Not sure of the plants official name, so I just call it a variagated flax. They has been in for about 5 years so really strutting their stuff now.

A local farm opens to the public once a year. They had a ton of these around as well as bananas. They are primarily a fowl farm, interestingly enough.

Red hot pokers still flowering when they should have stopped

This really made me happy planting four pink pampas grasses early this year and they're not supposed to flower till the second year in on maturity but one did and it flowered a cream one and a pink.
