I think yours have a lot of potential for niwaki. You could google and find something that you like. I'm going to do another boxus and I have taken plenty of cuttings. See your variegated Pisttoporum can be fashioned like this beauty

We ordered these four bare root roses from T&M for the patio, to replace some which will be relegated to further down the garden or to tubs along the fence to the side of the drive.

We'll also be getting forty large snowdrop bulbs, free.... .well we are now, after a bit of a skirmish.

"Four new award winning varieties which have been selected for their disease resistance, fragrance and suitability for use as cut flowers. The Rose 'Timeless'Collection are also perfect for growing in borders or tubs on the patio where they will exude a heady perfume from bud burst to petal fall. Each variety of these beatutiful roses has been specially chosen to compliment the others as a display in a rose garden or patio group but they also look absolutely wonderful when planted individually. Height and Spread 100cm (39")"

We'll reserve judgement aboout that. But the four were only thirty quid.

I live in abject poverty and I only paid £2 for my roses and they having been flowering for 2 months

I place it next to my patio door so that every time I walk by, I can enjoy the perfume.

This Pink to white one cost me £2 and is called Remember me.

I am taking cuttings as well. In the Beechgrove Garden, George Anderson shows us how to take rose cuttings. Very good advice.

I remember this old meat mincer as a child. My Mum made many a Shepherds Pie using this screwed on to the kitchen table using the leftover roast lamb. I've had it outside my kitchen window screwed onto a serving shelf as a keepsake for years. All of a sudden this occurred to me. I know it has a shallow depth and with it being metal will heat up but I'm hoping it will work. It's a bargain as it didn't cost a cent and a bonus because of the sentimental value:love:

Thank you. I felt cheated when I saw pink flower and then I read the instruction and it says the flowers will start off pink and change to white. For £2, I have every reason to be smug!

That's a good idea. And it looks good. You can even add some hair to the houseleek. :D

I just discovered the wonderous offerings in a little front yard nursery in the next township from me, about 10 minutes away. I've driven passed several times and last week called in. Well, its absolutely wonderful. A young Welsh couple have turned their front garden into a really specialised nursery. On my first visit I purchased a Fritillaria, a purple chequred one and it's one I first saw in a gardening magazene when I started gardening and couldn't find. (I've since been back and bought another one). And this other beauty,Vulgaris something. Apparently it one smells, very badly, for a couple of day a year. Zara, one half of the owners, says you can spray it with hair spray for those days but it's what attracts the bugs so I won't i won't do that. I do intend planting it a distance from the house.

Hubby and I were walking the aisles at Ollies Barham outlet and found grow lights for $19.99. Thought it was a fair price so picked one up. Went on line to see about which settings to use. The cheapest price for this light is $48, highest $100! Road trip back to Ollies!
