My entire family absolutely loves fresh grown corn. I love to grow it and freeze it for the winter. Some of our favorite types are Silver Cream and Peaches N Cream. What are some of your favorite types of corn to grow?

As a child, I looked forward to the wet season where we would grow corn, or maize as we knew it. We grew white and yellow maize and used it in different dishes. We could cook them and eat them like that or used the grain mixed in beans porridge or the dry grain could be milled into flour for baking or 'tuwo'-a moulded dish eaten with soup.
My favourite type of corn is yellow maize. It is grown primarily for consumption by animals but humans can also feed on it. It has am attractive yellowish colour which is a testimony of its nutritional attributes. The sweet taste is the icing on the cake.
