Hi,

Can we have some of your +26C johnny; please, please?

Today is 4C to a sweltering 11C for us and the forecast was for light rain; good job they didn't forecast heavy rain whilst we watched the rain lashing down then a whole load of hailstones plus acoustics with some thunder; I enjoy a good joke everyday by looking at our BBC weather forecast.

We aren't troubled by bears; lions or coyotes; our trouble is on two legs; drunks; druggies resulting in shootings; knifings; muggings; shoplifting etc and the police are doing an excellent job of trying to control it; about a year ago I was attacked by a field mouse as I rescued it from a cat; by way of thanks the little blighter bit my finger and I was amazed by the amount of blood which followed; I put the mouse safely at the top of the garden. It's still raining but look at our forecast for tomorrow; 6C to 15C WOW I must be dreaming.

Kind regards, Colin.

Good evening all, had sunshine and showers all day with a hail shower thrown in. Now sunny intervals, might have a frost tonight but getting a bit warmer, not a lot.

Colin you do have bad luck don't you, your a bit like my hubby when he tries to do things, that's what puts him off. Thanks about me learning how to use a computer, I'll have to sometime.

No I don't want to adopt your Blackie and Gail. Had enough of ours over the past week.

Thanks Logan. What a terrible few days we've suffered with the weather; this morning has been much better with surprising sunshine and it's feeling warmer too; I must have awaken in another county?

Yes every time I do anything I've got to get past the hassle and problems first and it does put me off and dampen my will to live but it just makes me more stubborn and I'll complete what I set out to do however long or problematic it becomes; I'm too stupid to know when to quit.

Oh dear I can't even give Blackie or Gale away and its not for the want of trying; it's finally stopped raining but I think Blackie is just having a breather after the last few days but everything outside is still soaking wet; it's just come over dark again and I never believe the BBC forecast.

I've finally got both outside double 13A sockets fully installed and powered up so now I can plug into power without running an extension cable through an open window or door; I've been going to install these sockets for years. Another job ticked off.

Kind regards, Colin.

Even the most basic thing I do has a problem; we've just bought two new patio chairs from Argos; the chairs are excellent for the money but with Blackie ever present putting down lots of rain these chairs gather pools of water; Bron's cleaned and dried them this morning but now I've got a small job in drilling an hole in each; I'm surprised the manufacturer doesn't add an hole? Please note the two dishes; we no longer have a cat but we feed every cat for miles around.

So many silly problems just to install outside power sockets from rain to the SDS drill bit not long enough; the drill bit went through the bungalow front wall without problem but wouldn't go right through the back wall; I visited Screwfix and bought a 600mm long drill bit; this went through the wall OK and also through a cupboard shelf support; all the wall to drill and of course with my luck hit the support bang on. I can and do constantly moan about my bad luck but it doesn't stop me completing what I set out to do it just slows me down.

That's great Colin glad that things don't put you off. Designers don't think of these things. Wouldn't think of putting a hole in the seat.
It's sunny here, going to do some weeding.

Hi,

Thanks Logan. Yes just a single hole and no more chair puddle.

I like to help out whenever I can; I've just done the ironing and I also do all the dishes and supermarket shopping. I'm now enjoying a brew and a small bar of Moser Roth Dark 85% Cocoa chocolate; this is my treat everyday; I buy the chocolate at Aldi and each pack contains five of these small bars; I have a stack of these in my desk drawer so I never run out. Everything in moderation. :)

I'll follow your lead Logan and shortly get off my backside to do some weeding; I think I'll also cut the grass; I worked under the bungalow this morning so it will be nice to get a bit of fresh air. Having worked on the bungalow for the last 33 years I'm now about on top of the jobs so fingers crossed I can do a bit of woodturning and metal spinning once the weather allows.

Why not bury a few bones for your babies Logan then let them dig the garden for you searching for them. ;)

Kind regards, Colin.

Colin the 85% cocoa chocolate bars are good for high blood pressure. If you can take the 90% bars even better. Hubby has a square each day for it.

Hi,

Thanks Logan; yes dark chocolate is good for us; I've not seen 90% cocoa bars so I'll keep my eyes open. The bars I scoff are 25g having one per day; it's one of my addictions; others are wood/metal working and DIY etc; keeping busy is important to me and is the way I was brought up.

Kind regards, Colin.

Hi,

Many thanks Logan. We never shop at Tesco but Lindt chocolate is widely available so I'll buy some. :)

Kind regards, Colin.

Hi,

Cool first thing but a beautiful sunny morning; yesterday was glorious and looks set the same for today.

I'm grounded due to four friends visiting us shortly so I'm sitting at the keyboard scrubbed up in shirt and tie; when they depart this afternoon normal service will resume. :D

Kind regards, Colin.
