Mango leaves look odd

I planted a grafted mango tree two years back in ground. Since last six months the young shoots of leaves show some disfigurement or malformed. In other words the shape of mango leaves does not look normal. I could not find any visible pests other that black ants. No signs of aphids or woolly mealybugs.

Aside from the tree being planted too deep this looks a lot like stress. Have you had any abnormal weather.

Dig away the soil until you can see the root flare.
