On my setup, I germinate them on a rockwool media with T5 light and a heated germination box. then I transfer it to a hydrophonic setup called “salad box”. I terminated the tomato now after about 3 harvests of about 25 to 30 cherries each harvest. It is suppose to be a dwarf tomato but it wants to take over the whole floor :D here are pics from seedlings to adult..

I'd like to start an indoor garden beginning with a few tomatoes. Is there a specific mix you guys would suggest I use? Do I also need to fertilize or is there a mix which sustains the tomatoes throughout their entire cycle? Can I start them in their finishing pot (3 gal) or do I need to start them in a smaller pot with a potting mix then transplant to a bigger pot?

Thanks,
Olympian
Do you intend to grow your pot tomatoes single stem or multi stem?
If multi stem, I'd certainly concur with Chuck, but if you intend to grow multi stem, I'd use far less nitrogen and add only a handful of composted chicken manure (high in calcium).
I'd also use, in either case, a good handful of woodash per pot, and feed with comfrey/seaweed based feed when fruiting.
