Curry leaf is good, lemon grass and lemon plant leaf fall under some what same aroma type. Cilantro, mint, basil, ajwain, bay etc are commonly found and daily use herbs.

If you have tried turmeric powder, then you could try to get the plant.

Turmeric leaf is also used in cook, it has a pleasant aroma with goodness of turmeric (used like lemon grass, fished out after cooking)

So, true. (y)Curry leaf is actually a tree, but I consider it herb, as I process them along with others.

I don't have a taste for ajwain though, it's mostly used in sweets to improve taste, my better half knows few cuisine with fresh leaves but I never find it appetizing.

Actually it's good for stomach.

What's coleusforskohlii ?
Common name would be helpful.

Ajwian in sweets!!! :confused::sick:
We use it in pakoras and puris and parathas....
Its also used to soothe upset stomach, especially when you have too much gas.
Coleus Forskohli is mistakenly called ajwian but its not....
This is what it looks like

Along with my favorite herbs I posted some non-herb favorites.

  • Mints for tea and coffee (chocolate and spearmint)
  • Rosemary for potatoes, chicken, turkey and pork and infused oils
  • Dill for some dips, going to bake bread with dill seeds.
  • Parsley mainly for the swallowtails but I do use some in place of pepper.
  • Basil for basil wrapped sausage, grilled tomatoes, Pizzas.
  • Oregano for almost everything, also grow as a ground cover (living mulch) in my veggie gardens and to bring in pollinators
  • Creeping Thyme for almost everything just like oregano, also grow as a ground cover (living mulch) in my veggie gardens and to bring in pollinators
  • Stevia for a sweetener
  • Lavender (haven't done anything with lavender yet).
  • Sage for stuffing, turkey, chicken
  • Horseradish for fresh horseradish and Horseradish Brown Mustard
  • Chives, for topping chili's, soups, baked potatoes etc...
  • Chive flowers for omelets
  • Garlic, This is my first year with garlic but I use garlic a ton in my cooks.
  • Leeks for a wide variety of recipes but my favorite is Leek, Potato soup.
  • Sunchokes, this is my first year planting but hoping for some Sunchoke, leek soup next season.
I have what I like to call a community herb garden out front, I let the neighbors come by and clip some herbs if needed.

I used to hear only about Moringa, but now there are a lot of them. Although opinions are divided. I found them in my supermarket, but not everyone has taken root. Maybe I was doing something wrong.

We have superfoods such as broccolis, kales ... We have super herbs as well.

I have used quite a bit of turmeric for its anti-inflammatory power..

What are your favorite herb(s) and how do you use it/them please?
I love fresh dill and make Mediterranean Shrimp over linguine with lots of dill! I also love fresh peppermint for homemade tea. Also rosemary to be used when baking rosemary potatoes!
