Bush's Coneflower began flowering today. It's a very underused native coneflower, and the only naturally occurring Echinacea specie that isn't pink/purple. I'm surprised garden centers don't carry it.

and then you have one of my favorites, Orange Milkweed, just beginning to bloom.

my June contribution... the daylily's are popping...
the oakleaf hydrangea has peaked...

the standard hydrangea's are getting ready for their show...

and the annual in pots are full and looking pretty good...

from my front entry.

The Prickly Pear had three flowers this year. :love:

Ooo, I got one of those :) Baloo the bear was right about em, took 5 minutes scraping the prickles out of me fingers with a knife when I took a cutting of it :rolleyes:

Unconfirmed (Hawaiian lady here sweats is a type of ginger) and unidentified (have yet to find one like it) canna blooming as well.

The (what I think is) Dianthus are blooming now. As long as I deadhead them, they'll bloom through October. (y)

, yours always look so blue, and mine always seem purple. I wonder if there is something I can add to the soil to bring out the blue...? (Mine are in partial shade, maybe that's the difference?) Don't get me wrong, I do like the purple, but oh! That blue!! :love::love:
