The purple Rose of Sharon is blooming. The color on this pic is a little off, it's actually more purple than pink. (I was playing with the settings :oops: - "cloudy," "daylight," and trying different brightness levels.)

I like the red streaking, and the veins in the petals. :cool:

@MaryMary ,I love it! These are one of my favorite flowers. Still waiting on the white ones to bloom. Yours looks line a perfect bloom! I'd love to see the whole plant.

That poor thing! It volunteered between the Plant-Hater neighbor's yard and ours. We think it's his, he must think it's ours; no one takes care of it!! :rolleyes: It's at least 12' tall by now. Last summer, my boyfriend got tired of waiting for P.H. to prune it, so he took some rope and tied it out of the way so he could mow. :cautious:

It's been a year now, and I've decided that I'm going to prune it as soon as it stops blooming. (y)
