Have some of this growing around our playset. Anything that will give the little ones issues?

I don't think it's a weed. Don't know what but maybe some type of ground cover?

I suppose that's possible, seems an odd place to place ground cover around a playset. Id prefer mulch or something there, especially since little feet seem to get tangled up in whatever this is. Its viney.

The leaves look like Ceasar's Weed but you said it's a vine. Google ceasars weed pictures and see if its the same. If it is you better get out your left over Crossbow herbicide

Looks a bit like our ivy, but I didn't think you had it in the colonies

I think @zigs is correct. I just googled florida ground ivy pictures and there are numerous varieties that have similar or almost identical leaves.

If its related, ivy exhibits polymorphism meaning the leaves can be different shapes depending on the growth stage :)

Yes, Zigs won the quiz! But I think @vette-kid 's ivy is more elegant and less damaging. My neighbour has one with air roots flaring up and went into my bricks, my air vent and felt. Just hope they don't come out the other side whilst I am selling the house!
