Early this year I found three potatoes in the greenhouse that I must have saved from last year. I put these in separate tubs and left them on the front of the compost. These were joined by three or four potatoes that grew out of the compost. It is something that happens every year no matter what. I've just left them and they seem to be growing fine. I've nicknamed the area "The jungle" and it looks quite attractive as a neighbour’s honeysuckle is growing into it. I've just noticed that one of the potatoes has grow from underneath a pile of upturned plant pots and through them hole of the top one. It looks like I'll get a decent crop for very little effort unlike other years when I have given them a lot more care and attention. This is my fourth year of gardening and it just gets stranger
