Can anyone identify this fungus?

Hi Folks - I’ve just been away for a few days and came back to find this fungus? Growing on my apple tree (cooking). What is it and do I need to do anything to stop it growing? Also will it affect the quality of the apples? I am losing quite a few apples to the dreaded moth larvae
