Thinking of replacing shrubs w/ some hardy bulbs - planted among the creeping lily turf - Lirope spicata (it is not as tall, nor its tops or roots as thick as typical lirope). My L. spicata is ~ 6 in tall.
*Unsure how some (hardy) bulbs will do in it.
Have others planted bulbs among similar low growing ground covers?

Have a narrow bed (~ 18 in. x 15 ft) - on E. side of garage (morning sun). Garage wall & small sidewalk form the bed .
Have some "disposable" shrubs there with Lirope spicata growing around the shrubs. Keeps weeds down, low maintenance.
Trimming shrubs - too much trouble in narrow space.

Amaryllis grow in it OK - not bloomed in long time - shaded by shrubs.
Others thinking of planting:
Lycoris radiata
Rhodophiala bifida
Summer Snowflake
amaryllis ( Hippeastrum)
Other similarly hardy bulbs. I think any crinum will do fine there.

Thanks for suggestions!
