Stressed Sugar Maple - action to take

This sugar maple is about 30 years old. Note the mushrooms growing on some branches. Should
i do some pruning? question also applies to the bare branches. Thanks.

Lichen is normal in high humidity environments, it'll grow on rocks and isn't really hurting a anything

The dead branches growing actual mushrooms might as well come down but the tree will drop them on it's own in time

Looks like something is killing the tree. What's the ring around the base? Are you applying something to the lawn?
