Are there any wine experts here on the forum?

I have three bottles of wine aged between 25 and 30 years old. All red I believe, two Australian and 1 Chilean. I can investigate further if needs be.

I want to know whether they are still viable to drink and if they have any value please?

Well I'm not that either, but i dabble in viticulture and wine making

They should be safe to drink, worst thing is it's vinegar, likely will have off flavors from age, maybe it's your thing but it's an expensive thing so don't get used to it

Value will be determined by who made it and how it was stored. Nobody wants a 30 year old box of franzia from an rv

I'm quite an expert at drinking it if that counts! But these days red doesn't like me, so it is white only.

I thought I might gain some willing tasters on this thread. Sorry, they belong to my son and have been lurking in one of my cupboards (on their side) since he moved to America 16 years ago. He bought the Australian wine when touring there many years ago. The Chilean bottle was a gift to him.

@Martin Mikulcik a little information always helps, thanks. The problem I have is I don't drink alcohol so a taste test on even one of them isn't going to happen. The cost of shipping them to my son would be a lot higher than any value they may have.

I think I'll have to do some research on the web and perhaps track down the producers, if they still exist.
