Amalfi Lemon Trees

I am growing 3 lemon trees indoors within a grow tent, and I have had difficulty preventing flies from nesting in the soil. I used fly traps and insect spray, but they always keep coming back. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening to reduce any chance of them harming my plants?

What kind of flies? Fungus gnats are the usual culprits and that is caused by keeping the soil too wet.

Let the soil dry well on top of the pots. If you keep the soil wet you will breed bugs. You need to hang up a bunch of yellow stickies to catch the adults before they lay their eggs. Also, they hate the wind, make sure you have a good breeze blowing over the plants.
