Good morning to all and to a grey foggy day. Hopefully , one more day of sunshine later! Ah, no!

Bought the first fragrant iris and went to Hertfordshire Garden centre and Aylett nurseries. Harvington hellebores were cheaper by £2 in Hertfordshire Garden and I wished I had bought a well freckled double one as in Aylett, they were £2 more expensive. A shame. I had never been to an Aylett before and was shocked by the sheer scale of it. VERY, VERY, VERY big. Now that we know where they are, we will visit them en route to the zoo next time.

Raining and dismal! Thanks for the rain though as it has been a long stretch of warmth and sunshine. Can't complain.

Think my camellia Brushfield is going to flower for the first time. A lot of daffs have flowered. Really lovely. In the town centre roundabout, there are tons of hellebores, double white, double mauve .. It's so nice to have hellebores as they can be left to their own device and will come up every year. The council has done a very good job.

Hello been galavanting around the GC this afternoon looking for anything really but mainly Taylor dahlia tubers , was after spiderwomen and Rajemens firecracker but nope , both GC I went to which supply taylor stuff had little in stock really disappointing . Had a look around for a nice double hellebore but nope all wishy washy pinks and bob standard single whites . Ended up not getting anything just a waste of time , I probably end up buying online now I might end up with tiny dried up tubers I've had in the past , I like to inspect them and get the largest tubers otherwise.

Started another batch of seeds yesterday lots of flowers and my tomatoes / cucumber / melon .

Hope it's dry all the way. After my holy grails - big garden, through lounge and location with a view.

With your bike, @Perki, you can go to Aylett, but they are dear or Dobbies or Wyevale. They did do some promotion on hellebores when it's a bit later in the season (2 for a certain amount or the 2nd one half price) and on top of that, there is now a £2 voucher off £10 until tomorrow.

I think the promotion of 2 for a better price is a bit later. I found a mauve hellebore with ruffled collar last year in ONE lone b&q, but not any other. That was £6.99 and there was a discount with pensioner's card. Shame I don't have any stock left of my best flowers as some bought cheap have not yet flowered. I think it might be early days yet as GW is not yet on. Wait till GW is on. you might get more. Harvington can be £2 cheaper in one nursery than another, so bear this in mind. Spiderwoman is a mess, like Boogie Woogie, in my humble opinion, but Rajman Firecracker is definitely worth it. One most beautiful deer antler split petals and a vibrant yellow and red mixed in. Should be AGM stuff. Crazy Love can be bought from Wilko for £1.5 (might be wrong). I might buy myself a Honeka black one, like @Zenj' s! Or a Fragile which was showcased by Monty. Can't wait for GW to start. Cafe au lait is also good. I'm forcing my dahlias from last year and some have shown young shots.

Been out since 8.30. Just come back. Bought a hellebore from an owner of a house we viewed. Beautifully freckled white. Too dark to take picture. I took them any way. The lady had only this type. She refused to take the money £2, but I didn't feel right so I said they were for the dog's treat. That dog was jumping up my trousers like a bee to a magnet.

Worth £2 any time. Big petals and lovely and well freckled. Wish I had dug a bit more, but I didn't really want to snap her lady's fork. Very happy! Saw one lovely house out of about 7!

Is this a daff?

Saw the 340 foot garden -disappointed as the road was very busy and the garden tapered towards the end. Badly as if someone had stolen the land.

On the way to view houses at 8.30am, saw a cordon round a large stretch of a park and it turned out to be this

It's raining now

But it's not so full on as the weather report would have you believe.

I'm forcing my dahlia

I'm doing the same with my Franz Kafka! A most beautiful pompon.

All my apple gala cuttings have died, but the pear cuttings from down the road are doing very well, and so are the figs.

My tree lily scaling - left on top of the fridge freezer. Might let them stay here for a while.

3 hours of sunshine hopefully will dry my clothes. The wind might help a bit. But there is a lot of moisture in the air. Hopefully, my plants will benefit. Need to add top soil to pots and generally do an audit of plants in pots.

Couldn't sleep until 3am and woke up to bright light. Mown the 2 lawns within half an hour. Not well done, but done! At least, it looks a bit tidy. Such a lovely sunny day. My 3 amigos are smiling - Brushfield, EG Waterhouse and a small pale pink one from Thurrock garden centre. Bought as a tiny plant in a 9cm or even small flat pot! Lovely. All the others sourced elsewhere took longer to flower. But this tiny pot has done me proud. Shame they had no rejects so far there! Last year, I bought some asters and others from them.

Spring has sprung!

I did some grafting in the winter and some has taken.

Mainly like this

Now, just when I have found a conveyancing solicitor, things suffer from more twists and turns.

I had promised the house to someone and was happy that the online conveyancing solicitor actually has offices in the SE. Today, we drove home from shopping and on the way to the garage saw an Audi blocking our driveway, so we had to horn him a bit. After we drove the car in front of the garage, the car was blocking our driveway again. A man came out and said he wanted to buy my house and my estate agent wouldn't answer the phone. He even suggested bypassing the estate agent, saving me thousands of pounds. I was a bit scared and also, I had promised the house to somebody else. He then asked to see the garden which was in a mess, as usual. He phoned the estate agent in front of me and arranged a viewing.

He said he could come with some cash deposit, which was unheard of. I looked a bit stupid and dumbfound. Any way, I told him everything about the house, and he joked he was t***an and was scared of nothing. I said I wanted £400K and he said fine. I was surprised that the estate agent, a new operative, actually took down all his details. When asked what his ideal house was, he said my house number and road! Such a flirt.

Later, the estate agent phoned me and I was told that the previous potential buyer had a bust up with his girlfriend and when I went up the road to try to help, she's away for 3 weeks. Oooops!

Perki must be amused! Sold, available, sold, available ... I just am happy to enjoy my newly plastered house with lovely LED lights. My next house will have automated lighting ..

Sounds a bit subspecies to me alp  how many people just come out of the blue and gave you more a less exactly what you want, all sounds at bit to good to be true. Keep a close eye on him and don't sign anything without reading / thinking about it first. If he is genuine it all good and everyone happy :)

I think so too. Especially he came out of the car and asked for details of my house. I think he dealt in cars. He asked a man how much a non-running Merc was and repeated £354+ vat! Lol! Some del boy character. He took calls during his conversation with the estate agent. I wish I had pulled out of the estate agent as they kept giving me ridiculous prices and threatened me that the buyer would walk away if I didn't accept the offers. I can sell via a very cheap agent and pay £1499 instead rather than £5000 for these cowboys!

Any way, now that next door is let out, I hope I can let my flower go to seeds and then move. Today, I even saw a bud from my bearded iris! Whoa! So happy!

A very dark and wet morning -

Need to grow some salad leaves today. The way this selling house business is twisting and turning, a day is a long time in history.
