Worst Time Of Year

Yesterday my wife washed her car and we left for town hour later. I looked at the Hood of her car and it was already covered with green pollen.

When we bought this house 12 years ago we liked the fact that it was in the middle of a Oak Forest.

First thing we wanted at the time was a Satellite Dish. Had to cut a big tree. Last couple years have cut many because of Greenhouse and Power Poles. And two because the neighbor thought he didn’t want them. So every year he has to run his A/C more to keep his house cool.

Every year in the Fall have yard deep with Leaves.

Now with Spring the air is full of pollen. I feel very sick and should wear a mask.

Well, at least its not seasonal tornadoes or wild fire. Lemonade out of lemons.

I'm surrounded by oak trees myself, so I know, all too well, about pollen, fallen leaves, and acorns. Had a few +60 footers taken down last summer. These had encroached over our backyard, and with branches nearly reaching our house. The lawn was suffering from lack of sun, but mostly I've had it with the tons of acorns all over the lawn. So much light back there, now! Don't worry, there are still plenty of mature oak trees surrounding my property.

Yep and I'm sick of having to pull up the oak saplings, worst year we have ever had!

I was cleaning up last years leaves today oak and maple and my throat starting hurting I was coughing and almost got sick.

I washed it away with a beer.

Im allergic to every tree and grass in north America among other things.

We have been getting so much rain all the pollen isnt a big deal yet.

I feel your pain.

Yep and I'm sick of having to pull up the oak saplings, worst year we have ever had!

Same here, swept up a bag full of acorns last Autumn, but I am still getting seedlings popping up everywhere. Worst , or best , year ever for acorns last year, depends how you look at it.

My wife has been hacking her head off for two days.

I told her to drink Mullen Tea with Honey. No you’re trying to kill me.

So we are not going to Church today and she is going to Urgent Care to people that know more than me.

It was getting me yesterday too. I was cleaning under an oak acorns everywhere then I thought heard my wife hollering at me but it wasnt her. A lady was asking me to stop the blower because they were shooting a TV segment across the street and all they could hear was the blower.

She came back later and said they were done but asked if they could shoot the opening segment of the show in my front yard because it looked so nice. I went back to finish picking up leaves and mowing before they set up out front. I wrapped up just in time.

Now I need to start on the other side of my yard and fenceline. Its all walnuts and redbuds over there.

My throat was swelled up this morning but my yard looks nice.

I POed my Son so I’m mowing my own grass and it has been getting to me some but not like my wife.
