Hi, I bought my house and these were already planted.
Anyone know what they are? do they need to be watered. I have not been watering them.
Only some of the flowers/buds bloom and others kind of just fall off as buds. Thanks for the help!!!!

They are daylilies. They grow like weeds, so no care is really necessary. If you get the chance, try adding some native species to your yard for the pollinators!

Yes, it looks like what I have here in Jax, Fl ( Zephyranthes atamasca ) and they reseed themselves very well.

P.S. They are easy to transplant and if you wait for the seeds you can collect them and plant them in a non-grassy area.

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

I agree with JB, the plant shown in the OP is a Daylily (Hemerocallis sp. or cv.),
in the Daylily Subfamily (Hemerocallidoideae) of the Asphodel Family (Asphodelaceae).
Most species are native to Asia and Japan, with one species occurring in southern Europe (Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus).
Daylilies are indeed very easy care perennials, being tolerant of most soil conditions and requiring only full sun and regular water.
