Any advice how to stop squirrels eating the flower buds on wisteria?
I have always noticed squirrels eating the flower buds every year, but it was never to much damage that you would notice once the blooms came out. But this year they have stripped the one end and it has spoilt to whole display of flowers.
I'm not comfortable with catch and release or killing the squirrels.
From research, it's hit and miss what and how much they eat each year in any garden. most likely dependant on the amount of food they have.
I did have a squirrel feeder, which was located in a place, where they had to pass the wisteria to reach the feeder. A stupid idea I know! I have now removed the feeder.
