Hi all, I have a very healthy Wisteria growing on a west facing wall (and just about to turn the corner on to a south facing wall).
The wisteria is about 5 years old but spent it's first two years in a pot.
Itwas trnsferred from the pot into the ground and taken off (as wisterias do).
I have trained it into an espalier shape.
My question is this... I have multiple vertical and horizontal stems.
The horizontal ones stretch across the 10 metres wall across the back of my bungalow (going out 5 metres each way from the main stem).
At the moment none of the new branches have hardened, so.. should I trim it back from 5 or 6 stems to one, or is it better to leave it as if that will produce more flowers.
Thanks in anticipation.
G.
P.S. Excuse the busy latio we are have new fencing and the garden re-modelling so plants have to go someehere!!!
