I agree. Telegraph is the same as "English" cucumbers? That is what I thought when I saw them...those expensive English cucumbers offered in the local stores.

Yes. As below, they cost £1 in a popular supermarket here.

Here they individually wrap them in cellophane...and charge an arm and a leg.

Some of mine are curling due to the extreme heat I assume.

Not done a thing for a couple of days as I took a heavy fall and took a big chunk out of my elbow and bruised my thigh and shoulder.
This morning it is raining!! Raining properly!! Should be pretty busy soon, I'll be able to get a fork into the lawn to aerate it for a start

3 days ago about 6 pm I discover stem on this melon is dried up and disconnected from the melon so I took melon into the kitchen. About 2 hours later I had to spend the night in the hospital. 3 days later, today I cut melon open. Center 4" is sweet and the rest is mushy and tastes like nothing. I saved the good part & trash the rest.

Cleared out a bed today beside the fall potato row for some late season Zinnias. I learned last season that the Monarchs that come through here in the fall on their migration to Mexico feast on the nectar from Zinnias for energy for their journey.

Milkweed is fine and others as well but, on this journey, they need high energy from the nectar from the Zinnias. I can get zinnias flowers in less than 60 days timing it about right for the migrants to recharge here on their journey south.

Bring on the Monarchs!

I have a 50 year old knife collection. I have several more knives in my work shop tool box. I don't use them anymore & have no clue what a dozer old knives are worth.
