Suddenly today, for the first time, we have hundreds of small white moths flying over our lawn when we walk. Initial research suggests these may well be sub web worms, but the information seems to suggest they are a North American pest. We are a coastal property in NE England. We haven't yet looked for lavae. Whats the easiest way to treat The lawn without killing other creatures like ladybirds? Any advise greatly appreciated.

One way to not harm beneficial insects is to let the moths do their thing and let the caterpillars hatch out. Then spray with Bt. Bt only kills caterpillars and is safe for pets and people.
