Accidentally Squirted Round Up on New Sod

I got a new weed killer pump sprayer this morning and as I was walking up my backyard I hit the trigger and it shot a little quick stream on my new zoysia sod that was laid 5 weeks ago. It wasn't a huge amount of weed killer but as you can imagine I'm quite annoyed with myself.

I did soak it with the hose and my sprinklers are set to go off tomorrow morning, so I'm hoping that will help it

Am I going to have a problem you think or should it be ok?

You got the problem by using roundup. The issue is degree of the problem.

If you washed it off within 15-20 minutes you will be fine. Soysia is hard to kill even with roundup because of its robust root system

Might have been a bit longer than that but it was definitely less than an hour.

Then it might kill some of the grass blades but not the roots
