don't be afraid to let them wilt a little before watering. Most issues are caused by over watering.

No, seaweed, as stated.
Seaweed is an excellent fertiliser, and, since I have a holiday home on the shore of Luce Bay, I collect and brew my own seaweed feed, however, anyone can grow comfrey, and the leaves decompose very quickly, releasing their mined nutrients quickly, because they contain so little cellulose.
