I agree this does look like a Cestrum, in the Nightshade Family (Solanaceae), though not necessarily Cestrum nocturnum.
Many species of Cestrum have similar leaves and vary mostly in floral characters. Cestrum parqui from Chile and Peru should be considered particularly, as it is a species known to be weedy in Mediterranean-type climate areas.
All Cestrum are native to the New World, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.
