Help please to identify what this is?

I have had this weed/shrub growing in 3 different places under my trampoline, which I have now pulled out, just a single stem with a few branches & leaves.... I have dogs so was wondering whether it could be toxic for my dogs....??

These petiole glands look like those of a stone fruit (Prunus sp.), possibly English Wild Cherry (Prunus avium).
