Onion weed....help

Does anyone have any clues on how to get rid of onion weed other than pulling each one out individually. It's painstaking and they're back next year. I tried "weed and feed" recently and it did kill some weeds but low and behold the onion weed is still growing strong. Would appreciate any ideas.

You need some thing with 2 4 D in it ,
It will take a few sprayings but it will kill it

The smell of a freshly cut field. or yard with wild onions,takes me back to my childhood,I love that smell,it's the smell of spring

Thanks I'm afraid it will flow onto my garden. I'd have to make sure it isn't about to rain.

You're right. It does smell good. I heard on a gardening radio program that it is edible. I tried it in a salad but couldn't quite get used to it
