I am growing 4 Varieties of Bulb Onions this year in Pots, and since the seed Package I got from Seedsnow.com has non of the needed planting depth.

So what I am asking, how deep do the seeds go?

When I plant onion seeds, which is seldom, I plant them about 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep. Instructions say to plant 1 inch deep but that depends on your soil texture, IMO.

I grow all my onions from seed.
I soak them for 12 hours first in hand-hot water, then sow them 1/4" deep.

I got these seeds from Seeds.com and they came in Salsa Kit they sell. A lot of them did not come up, their Pepper seed did not come up at all ( I have grown a lot of Peppers from seeds, I did these the same way and nothing came up.) I would not recommend this Salsa Kit to any one.
