What is your geographical location? Onions are a cool weather crop most people plant then early spring. Here in TN I plant then April 1st. I harvested 1 row of onions this morning. Onions do good in cold weather when is your first FROST? Plant onions 3 months before your frost if you can find onions to plant this time of the year. It frosts here where I live in TN about Nov 1 so I could plant onions about Aug 1 but most people plant onions in early spring. Now is a better time to plant onion from seeds you will have onions next summer.
