How soon can juvenile grass, such as the fine fescues, tolerate an application of Weed-n-Feed?

Has the lawn grown from seed, or is it turfed?
It's seeded among thin existing mature grass and weeds. I want to eliminate the weeds without killing the new grass seedlings.

Go. Those are weak formulas generically, where you are to buy more every 60-90 days or whatever is on the bag there. Personally I would not combine the two.

I wouldn't use a weed and feed on a newly seeded lawn until it's six months old.

Once the germination is over and growth begins, one herbicide risk is out of the way. The second is the slowed growth, but then it is early in the year. A better plan is to continue to use starting fertilizers and save that weed and feed for the last of the season so it becomes the beginnings of next years weed control perhaps? Being in NC you have a fairly long growing season, but it will snow, so having good roots and good soil going into winter is the best plan.
