My small Moringa plant/tree looked great full of leaves… I transplanted it and moved it outside… the planter didn’t fit in the window I had the plant in…. The leaves all fell off and the stem is starting to droop… the first photo is before I did anything with it other than water it. The second one was three days after I moved it outside. And last photo is tonight. I think the plant/tree is dying.

It will probably be alright if you keep the ground moist (not soaking wet) for the roots to start growing again.

I just dug up a moringa tree (about the same size) that was in the shade and transplanted it in a sunnier location. All the leaves died, like in your third pic, but I have new green growth coming out the very top of the sapling.

I wonder if it needs more direct sunlight. It’s on my patio, it still get a bit of sunlight it’s just not direct light… should I move it to a sunnier place?

Most areas of Texas have been having a severe heat wave where afternoon temperatures IN THE SHADE are well over 100F for the past 3 weeks. Moving a plant that was indoors in relatively cool temperatures into an environment like we are having is probably a death sentence.

Do you plan to keep this moringa in a container?

The moringa does love all-day sun, but it's stressed out now, so I'd keep it in a bright area, with occasional direct sun until it recovers. Once it starts to recover, you can slowly harden it up by extending length of time in direct sun.

After fully recovered give it all-day sun, they love the sun, even our powerful Florida sun.
