Doesn't sound good! Like you say it might be the xray that did it. I'm assuming that the recipient knew what they were doing to kick start germination?

He's been gardening in Jamaica for years, but he is German so that might have been a problem. Could be the local conditions.

Not had problems with seed sent from Canada or America to the EU. Got some good results from both.
