So I propagated this plant from seed ages ago but never took note of the plant name nor labelled it. I also can't seem to find the packet if it even came in one. I have no idea what it is but its now flowering. Any ideas what it is?

Yes, I concur, this is a form of Strawflower (Xerochrysum bracteatum, formerly Helichrysum bracteatum) in the Cudweed Tribe (Gnaphalieae) of the Daisy Family (Asreraceae). Cultivars have been bred with papery bracts of various colours, but the original form has yellow bracts. When properlty dried the flower heads last indefinitely, hence another common name of Golden Everlasting. The Strawflower is native to much of Australia and Tasmania.
