Help a Drooping Rubber Plant

Novice plant parent here. A rubber plant we recently acquired has droopy leaves. I’ve read online that drooping and color change can result from overwatering but the leaves on ours aren’t changing color so I’m confused as to what can be causing this. We’ve only watered once since we brought it home, and that was only after we noticed that the top two inches of soil were dry. Also some of the lower leaves are falling off.

They do look fine. They would like more sun and droop less in outdoor sun, but are pretty tolerant of good light indoors. You can see the new leaves point straight up and as the leaves get older, as in towards the bottom of the plant, they droop more. That's natural. The leaves last more than a year, but will eventually get old, replaced by new ones, wither and fall off. That's life.
