Ginger?

I'm in the process of redoing a planted area in my yard and need to move some flowers. I believe them to be a type of ginger

the flower is yellow. Can I just replant them elsewhere? I have some white ginger out front and they would look good together. Is there anything special I need to do? I tried to get them out as intact as possible. Some did break a little, and small roots came off. But overall they are in about as good a shape as I found them. There are a few more back there too.

Hmmm, well either way I suppose. I had a neighbor stop by once and ask how I got my ginger to grow so well. I had no idea at the time what it was. The ginger she asked about is in front, this looks just like it but yellow instead of white, so I just assumed it was ginger. Now im going to have to do more research.
