Greetings, welcome to the Forums.
Common Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) is a common wildflower, in the Plantain Family (Plantaginaceae), native to the British Isles, western Europe, southern Scandinavia, and Morocco. It usually grows as a biennial, flowering, producing seed and dying in its second year. Sometimes however, the plant will continue to live, acting like a short-lived perennial.
Digitalis is also quite poisonous, containing several potent cardiac glycosides, such as digitoxin and digoxin.
