Bad hair day

Looked it up but couldn't find if and when i should give my dear rather sad looking Bird of Paradise a trim. Does any one know.
In its heybday, early December and looking rather dapper don't you think

My guess is, if the flowers are spent, you should be able to cut them completely down. Here's a link on the subject.

I'm with Licenter. If it was mine I'd Carefully cut them flower stems back to just above the leaf's. Otherwise it looks good. Unfortunately we have to grow them under glass in the UK

Thanks Licenter. Very helpful link. Will do. I deliberately planted some succulents in the pots so they would not be too boring once the birds had "flown away". Now i just have to wait for the next show hey!
