Just used one small block of cheese on the trip pan, and yes it's a rat.....

If you use a crust of bread with peanut butter on and stick it past the step...hubby said it will go for that even quicker than cheese apparently and i'm sorry to say you can bet there's more, as they're feeding for winter or is it warm by you now?

Yeah.... peanut butter puts off a stronger smell, for sure.....but has a tendency to draw ants. Will be keeping the trap set, continually.

Yes I totally understand you don't want your greens blastered in ants but I would continually set it.
