I really enjoyed those photos, @Sheal . The second one, of the bridge, looks so similar to a bridge on one of my walks that I had to double-check your location!
What's that spiny evergreen (succulent?) tree?

Thanks for sharing, amazing pictures! The tree in the 4th, 5th and 6th pictures, if am not mistaken that tree has been around for very very long. I can't remember the name of that tree tho, but I watched a documentary talking about it, how it has been around for so long. Interesting!

The tree is known here as a Monkey Puzzle tree @Beth_B, I don't know it's botanical name and Trellum is right the species is very old. The branches and spines on the trunk are lethal, being very rigid they would tear us apart very easily if we tried to climb it.

Monkey Puzzle is the Chile Pine, Araucaria araucana

It got it's name when someone commented that it would puzzle a monkey to climb it :D
