What's growing with my new succulent?

Hello! What's growing alongside this succulent? I assume it's a weed. What's the best way to remove it, if necessary? Thanks so much!

I'm not sure what it is yet, but it looks intriguing. Instead of pulling it out and throwing it away, I would lift out the rootball of the Aloe it is growing with and remove the seedling with as much root as you can manage. Pot it up separately and see what it becomes. It may possibly be a volunteer seedling of an ornamental plant. In any case, you will learn what it actually is. I rarely pull out weeds before I identify them.

@Marck It did not like being repotted and shriveled up... Aloe is doing well, though!

Root damage and transplant stress. It happens. At least, we have a photo of the leaves. We may stumble upon the answer yet.

Is it something you know and like? Then save it. If not, it's a weed and toss it.

It's something we don't know and might have liked to grow, or at very least have liked to know its identity... and we still might.
