6 rows of corn starting to come up. Next rows about 350 yellow onions. Next 4 rows potatoes. Next row 8 melon plants. Next row 12 tomato plants with 4 sweet peppers. Next row 13 sweet pepper plants. Next row 15 tomato plants. Next row Zinnias. Somewhere is 1 Jalapeno plant. Potatoes need to get out of the way, here comes the melon vines. Onions need to get out of the way I need a location for 3 rows of beans.

Another look at the garden space I redesigned last month. The gardens are starting to fill in and look good! I have plans for what I want here but it will be a multi-year process. I have to acquire seed this fall, which means it'll still be a few years before I can really get what I want to bloom here.

My restored woodland strip along my driveway is looking good. It nearly has various blooms all season long now but this is its peak season. It will slow down once summer comes. I'm still planning on more species but that will come with time.

Rain finally stopped long enough to go look at the garden. Rain gauge shows 5.5 inches in 3 days and TV said 7 more days of rain in the forecast. Rain should make potatoes take on weight. I hope onions don't become water logged I would rather have small onions with good flavor than large onions that taste like water. Watermelon vines will probably get out of control before I can deal with it. Too much water sometimes makes tomatoes split open. Tomato plants are loaded with green tomatoes. 7 rows of corn are doing good. TN soil can be desert dust with no rain then 4" of mud with too much rain. Oh well, @#$% happens. LOL. Grand kids are having fun with these windmill flowers high wind makes them self district then the kids put the pieces back together. The bird house straight ahead has a 2nd crop of Blue birds in it.

My prickly pears were looking rough for awhile after I first got them but they're starting to perk up. They're starting to lose their dehydration wrinkles and have new pads forming.

Today rain stopped long enough to pull up 1 onion and dig up 1 lb. of red Pontiac potatoes. This onion measures 3¼ dia. Potato plants have all fallen over. Next week sunny and 90°f potato tops will dry out. Rain gauge shows 6" of rain in about 2 weeks.
