I am planning on transplanting the goats beard this fall, hope to split it in two. Its been in that spot for 20 years at least, not balanced well with the other look of the garden. Placed there when something else taller was there so it did work then.

Today my garden is wet and muddy from a day of rain. The weather was dry the day before, but rained the two days prior to that. It's good for the plants, yes, but it slows down my progress! I have finally started to organize things a bit from the random mess of plants and now the rain, heat, and mosquitoes are taking over.

Absolutely gorgeous plants you have there JBtheExplorer almost all of which are also my favorites - truly excellent shots too and especially that last one of the Gaillardia which I have to say - is a stunningly beautiful shot :)

All stunning Esther. The one with the long white tentacles is lovely. Could you tell me it's name please. I have one I think is similar with deep crimson tentacles but it is an annual I believe. Have it in pots at present and apparently it drops seeds and may germinate again next year. It's very dramatic so I hope so. Fingers crossed.

You have many kinds of my favorite flowers, @JBtheExplorer ! They are so beautiful and those Blue-Eyed Grass have such deep rich purple color to them. Currently, my white cone flowers have just beginning to bud.

Love all your beautiful flowers @JBtheExplorer and your Blue-Eyed Grass flowers have such deep rich purple tone to them. My white cone flowers are coming, and so are my Shasta daisies! Will take some pictures when it stops raining.

JBtheExplorer, your pond is absolutely gorgeous, it looks like a magical place. I love all those colorful plants that grow around it and fish that live in it:)

Thanks! I love the pond! I spend most of my free time sitting by it, watching the fish, the frogs, and the birds that stop for a drink or a bath!

I almost forgot to mention my mostly-native garden is starting to look good! Most plants in it still have another year before they flower, so next year it should look great as long as the rabbits stop eating everything!

In this photo: Penstemon, Gaillardia, Tradescantia.

These petals look like flames, they're gorgeous:) I think it's the first time when I see Asclepias tuberosa. How big is this plant?
