Not much picking today--just fresh sage and parsley for Thanksgiving dinner. I love sage in dressing, and the parsley will be coarsely chopped to put over the crudites. Yesterday I gave fresh lettuce to a friend for her Thanksgiving dinner salad, and provided bell peppers for whenever she needs them.

We are to have our first hard freeze, below 32 degrees, tonight. I picked every pepper we had, from small to large. We covered the potted herbs in the barn, and I'm hoping our lettuces and spinach don't get frostbitten. I think if they do my husband will be happy. He thinks I'm trying to turn him into a rabbit with all the green things that show up on our dining table!

:LOL::LOL:! One more pet for you to pat then!

I can't blame him. Eating salad can be very unpleasant. Bought a bottle of salad dressing. I normally don't buy it, but as ex was coming. He loved it with his salad. I added tiny a bit. Without the dressing, it's like tormenting myself with bitter rocket and rubbery spinach because of their reportedly nutritional value.. whatever that is..

If it snows, the spinach will look like they have been boiled and your hubby might rejoice!
