Hi everyone,

My succulent (blue chalk sticks) seems to be drying up but I still can't figure out whether I overwatered or underwatered it.
I gave it a drink only once, after transplanting it 3 weeks ago. It's positioned in filtered sun/half shade.

I'd be super grateful for some tips.

One of the issues is that it's not getting enough light. It wants to be in as much light as you can possibly give it. The soil seems too organic for it. It prefers sandy/perlite-y soil. It may be just leaves that were broken during the transplant process that are shriveling. The leaves are very weakly attached and get damaged easily. Trim those off and see if it gets worse or stabilizes. Stick your finger or a thin stake as far as you can into the soil to see if it's dry or not.

Thanks! I'll try to move it to a sunnier spot. I've used a cactus soil mix and I was hoping it's sandy enough. On the other hand, I've used the same soil mix for a Sempervivum planted outside on the southern terrace with tons of sunlight that I've still managed to kill. Looks like root rot and overwatering but not really sure how.
