Hi guys,

I bought this FLF about a month or so ago. It was going really well but now one of the leaves has this browning on the edge. It doesn't look like any of the typical browning I've seen with under/overwatering. Wondering if it is due to bugs or parasites? I can't seem to find any bugs...

Thanks in advance!

Brown leaves on a fiddle leaf fig is due to a fungal infection from allowing the roots to set in water or stay too wet. Over-watering and poor drainage causes root rot, and that can spreads from the roots to the leaves. If the roots are brown and mushy, root rot is the culprit. Sometimes plants get over-watered and have root damage before you bring them home. One way to know for sure is to gently take the plant out of the pot and see or feel if its super wet in the rootball. If it is too wet hold back on future watering until the top 2 inches dry before watering again. You can cut off the leaf with the brown spot in it.
