Are there any special growing instructions for fruit trees? I know they can take a while to start producing fruit ( for some) but wondered is there anything that can be done to speed up the process? And also on average what are the fruit bearing times for citrus fruit like lemons, oranges, limes ect....?

Buy dwarf varieties. They don't out-grow your reach, produce sooner, and are easier to prune and maintain. Wish I had invested in them years ago.

Don't hurry the fruit; let the tree expend its energy getting properly established.
That way you'll have better, larger crops in years to come, for more years to come.
Think of it like savings; a good investment.
